The Baxter Seminar held on campus here in Tegucigalpa, Honduras was attended by approximately 103 registered guests this year.  In addition, several people from the area who were not actually registered came and went through the seminar.

Among the registered attendees, 67 were from Honduras; 24 were from Nicaragua; 9 were from Guatemala; 2 were from El Salvador and 1 was from Panama.

Dan Coker did an outstanding job as the keynote speaker.  It was obvious as a member of the audience that everyone thoroughly appreciated his knowledge, humor and heart as he spoke of the importance of Ethics in the church as well as in the home.

One of our own 3rd year students, Juan Fernando Latorre, preached on Thursday evening and did a great job!

Mario Rivera directed the Baxter Chorus on Friday evening and many of our current Baxter students and faculty participated in making this seminar outstanding!

Sunday was a special day as the annual "Culto Unido" (combined worship service) was held at the amphitheatre on the Baxter Campus.

A description of the 2008 Baxter Seminar would not be complete without mentioning that our brother, Luis Garcia, came from Nicaragua for the seminar!  He is recovering from his heart attack and surgery and looked great!  Everyone was so excited to see him and it looked as he Luis was also very happy to be here.  Brother Luis went back to Nicaragua and continues to recuperate.  Our prayers are with him!
