Three new Cuban students arrived on campus last night. Rene Rosa, admissions director, and Daniel Blet, a current student from Cuba, met the new students at the airport. The excitement on campus has been mounting all week in anticipation of their arrival. They are arriving in time for third bimester classes which begin the first week of July.
The students received an official Baxter welcome with their introduction in devotional, accompanied by applause and lots of hugs and words of welcome afterward. The new students are Onay González Rodríguez (single student with the white shirt) and Osbel Triana Brito y Madeline González Lugones (a married couple).
They new students are very pleased to have arrived at Baxter after five long months of paperwork and delays.
With the return of the fourth year students from their Missionary Apprentice Program assignments at the beginning of July, the number of students on campus will increase by 11 next bimester, providing an emotional boost, even more exciting singing, and a promise for God's provision for the future.
